Things to undertake near Camping Grand Bru:
The woods covering the Ardennes are without a doubt among the most beautiful natural areas in Europe. At Camping Grand Bru you are located amidst this wooded area accompanied by beautiful views and a variety of hiking trails.
In this area, you can enjoy hour-long walks without meeting anyone. The landscape of the Ardennes is rich in diversity and offers plenty of natural sites that everyone would enjoy, ranging from steep hills to large green meadows.
If you would like to partake in something more adventurous we recommend canoeing on the Ourthe river. The starting point of the canoe trail is located in Grandhan, 18 kilometres from the campsite. The canoe route is 7 kilometres long and takes you to the picturesque town Durbuy.
Camping Grand Bru also proves to be an ideal location for beer enthusiasts. Within a 30 minute drive you can reach the renowned La chouffe beer brewery. Here you can enjoy a guided tour through the different production stages that ultimately ensures that this beer gets its signature flavour which is unique and known worldwide. In addition to this the brewery also offers several beautiful walking routes in its proximity. Be sure to enjoy one of the many delicious craft beers fresh from the brewery’s beer taps or bring some bottles back with you to enjoy on the campsite.
The area surrounding camping Grand Bru:
The area’s surroundings camping Grand Bru lend well to be discovered by (all-terrain) bicycle or by foot. Try to visit the town Durbuy. This historical and picturesque town is definitely worth a visit. Here you can enjoy narrow streets accompanied by buildings dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. In addition this town has shopping possibilities with its cosy boutiques and artisan butchers and bakeries. Enjoy a coffee and waffle on the Place aux Foires. Also locations such as Weris and the nature reserve Ninglingspo are worth visiting.
The Ninlingspo is the only mountain river in Belgium. The walking route that runs along this river is also named Ninlingspo. The total distance of this route is 6 kilometres and takes you through the most beautiful part of the Ardennes.
